Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving Eve

Early for a Pilates class at 9:00am to get my body moving.

The day was going so well; I decided to stay up for as long as I could. There was no rhyme or reason for the decision. Those that know me know I'm usually in bed by 9:00pm.

Well, 9:00pm passed and I survived until 2:00am. That's right, 2:ooam. Close your mouth, like you're in such disbelief. I didn't have coffee or an energy drink to help with this unusual task. I'm what you call a Survivor! Virgil was going strong watching a movie, I was on the computer, and Cole and Jewel clunked out before their parents.

Thanksgiving Day

I rose from the pillow at 7:ooam intending to attend a Pilates class but that didn't happen. Instead, a I enjoyed a cup of coffee while chilling on the couch reflecting on the many blessings that GOD has bestowed upon the Whitlow family. Yes, this Thanksgiving is different but if we really think about it it's a blessing. Some of us need to sit still from the running whether it's for us, work, a friend, family, or some particular organization or committee we have obligated ourselves.

Dinner was fabulous. Virgil cooked a glazed ham filled it with Coca Cola and rubbed with brown sugar and mustard. I forgot to take a picture. They thoroughly enjoyed.

If you are new to whitwithcolor, we are waiting to move into our next home. Most of the kitchen essentials are in storage. A wonderful friend said 'yes' to making the family's Mac&cheese and Dressing. I prepared my vegan meal and had 2 servings.

  1. Mac&cheese

  2. Veggie patty (protein)

  3. Spinach

  4. Sweet potatoes

  5. Cranberry with pineapples

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Today, we chose to be still. How about you?
